So What Makes us

Different?

Southaven RV & Marine has committed to not hide anything from our customers. You might be asking "What do you Mean?" We believe the price you agree upon with the sales person, should be, the price you see when you go to the business office to close your deal.

So what Fees are you referring to?

  • Freight (roughly $1200)

  • Document Prep Fee (approx $395)

  • Additional hitch work (anywhere from $500-1500)

  • Unit Prep / P.D.I.  ( $750-1250)

Some of our National Camping Center competitors are charging these fees to make you think that the deal you negotiated was the best deal. Only to find out that you are being charged roughly $2700-4000 in extra fees/profit to the dealership.

So what makes us different? We feel, these costs should be figured into the deal and negotiated at the time of purchase. The freight of the unit is included in the manufacturer invoice upon arrival. DOC PREP is a fee to help pay the cost of the office staff to do your paperwork. The hitch work should, in our opinion, be worked into the deal based on the customers needs. The Unit Prep/ PDI is a real cost factor that the service department charges to prepare your unit, wash and detail and have a technican walk you thru the operation of your purchase.

We have had some ask us why we don't charge these fees or conform to this way of doing business. As the owner of Southaven RV & Marine, I hate to pay these fees, so why not negotiate the best deal 1 time and not have to keep worrying about what's next.

Still not sure, give us a chance to earn your business. Or better yet, ask for a copy of the Purchase agreement, so you can take to the bank to get a check and see what the difference is. Then come on over and we will show you why we are different.

What Our Customers Say

To everyone at Southaven RV
THANK YOU
We purchased a 2014 Fleetwood Bounder 35K and could not be happier. This has only been possible from the excellent service we have received at Southaven RV. Whether it is the warm greeting we are given when we enter the building, the great service help desk, the excellent work done by technicians, help from the warranty department, great salesmen, friendly sales managers, or the wonderful owners, we are lucky to have such great people to keep us on the road.
I am a member of one of the largest RV forums on the internet and am constantly dismayed at the constant complaints I hear about RV service a lot of members receive. I happily brag about the service and support I receive and proudly mention Southaven RV as often as possible. Again, thank you for everything and keep up the great work!
Very Respectfully,
The Wilsons

Mr. Hixson,

We have recently traded for our 2006 Dynasty which we are really enjoying thanks to all of you at Southaven RV.

Our pleasant experience started with a phone call for contact with a salesman. We were connected to Sean Medley. When we arrived he greeted us promptly and showed us around. He continued to take good care of us until we closed the transaction and then he helped to address all of our problems. We have had 2 other Monaco RVs and no other salesman that we dealt with was nearly as well informed and knowledgeable of his product. We are thankful for his help. Michael Mask not only helped us to trade RVs but came to the RV park at 5:00 PM on Saturday to attempt to the the TV to function. We had to finally tell him to go home; we would get it fixed Monday. Every time we would park at the entrance sales reps would meet us prior to getting to the door and greet us.

Our next experience was with the service department. Manny and Tommy were great. They gave us a great "walk thru" plus several lessons on the TV and sound system. They are a real plus to your service department.

Thank you for a pleasant experience.

My vacation would not have went as well as it did had it not been for Nate and Chris! They worked together to get parts and service for my coach. Thanks so much.

To whom it may concern,

I just wanted to take a minute to thank the staff at Southaven RV and especially Chris for all of the hard work they did to get us the boat we wanted. Chris went well out of the way to meet late at night, he was great at following up with me and answering ll questions we had. There is no doubt we purchased our boat from you all because of him. We looked for a while and talked to a lot of people and there was no other salesman or company that compared.

Also, the attention we have received after the sale has been superb.

Thank you for all that you did and continue to do.

Thank you

R. Hunsinger from Alabama

On November 26, 2012 while packing up our 2008 Winnebago Aspect, hoping for an early start home, I heard a clicking noise between the thermostat and furnace. I called you to see if your service department could check it out before we left Southaven, MS for home in Alabama. I chose Southaven RV Center because of your location and having bought our RV from you last May 2011. I remember when we picked up our used RV that you informed us your service department had put on six new tires on our RV with only 2,000 miles on it without being charged for them. They saw them as unsafe to drive on due to cracking from sun light exposure. This created a lasting trust between the service department and me, because of their good judgment.

My trust and respect for the service department’s high ethical standards was once again reinforced after observing W. Smith's work ethics. After only working on the electrical connection between the thermostat and furnace for half hour, he contacted Winnebago's tech. department to seek their current guidance and advice. His comment to me was that he did not want to waste any more of my time getting at the source of the heating problem. Remembering that your hourly shop rates are $???, I really thought that showed concern for his customer.

After five long waiting hours, W. Smith along with the Winnebago’s technician discovered a damaged wire going to the furnace from the thermostat. Our problem was resolved! I believe because of W. Smith’s strong personal commitment and his spirit of determination.

I would ask that this letter of appreciation being formally posted ... because of going beyond what is expected and his strong personal commitment.

Sincerely,
R. Hunsinger

Mark, Susan, & David,
Kay & I wanted to thank your company for the professional way were treated. We had a problem with our RV which was taken care of to our satisfaction.
It is a pleasure to do business with a company that cares after the sale is completed. That is almost unheard of these days.
We are looking forward to do business with Southaven RV in the future. We also will recommend your company to anyone we know that is considering an RV.
Thanks again,
Dennis & Kay
P.S. Susan is a Great Salesperson!!
